Please join us for a free, 6-hour, Long Term Care Antibiotic Stewardship Policy Writing Workshop!
Who: Long term care facility (LTCF) staff responsible for antibiotic stewardship (AS). This workshop will be most beneficial if 3-4 individuals from the same facility, both clinical and administrative, are able to attend together.
What:
- Dedicated time for LTC infection prevention and control (IPC) and antibiotic stewardship program (ASP) teams to develop a comprehensive framework for an ASP policy and program description.
- Guidance from technical experts for implementing the seven core elements for antibiotic stewardship into an Antibiotic Stewardship Policy.
- Use of a pre-workshop questionnaire and workshop template to write a policy tailored to a specific facility’s needs.
- Identify next steps for the review, contribution, and approval of necessary facility stakeholders.
