Let MDH know how to spend COVID-19 funds to benefit your shelter! |
Thank you for your interest in participating in a focus group with your peers to let MDH know how to spend remaining COVID-19 funds to benefit your shelter staff and clients.
Background
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has received federal funding to support COVID-19 response in shelters that must be spent by June 2024. The money must be spent on allowable activities as defined by the grant. However, rather than MDH determining how best to spend the funds, we want to hold a couple focus groups with shelter providers to hear from those most impacted by this funding opportunity to hear how they think the funds should be spent to most benefit their facilities, staff, and clients. Feedback from the focus groups will not affect a facility's chances of receiving funding from the grant.
Who can participate?
If you are involved in day-to-day shelter operations at your facility in client facing position(s), worked at the shelter for at least one year during the pandemic, and have a good understanding of your shelter needs and capacity, you have the expertise we are looking for!
About the focus group discussions:
- Format: Virtual
- Length: 90 minutes
- Date: June 22nd, 1:30-3:00pm
If you are interested in participating, please complete the form below with your contact information and availability. We will follow-up with you in within the next couple weeks with additional information.
